I recently purchased a 1937 Paidar chair. I have three questions that perhaps someone can help me with. The head rest is complete but not covered. I assume it was covered in leather but can't find any good info. Anybody know how they were covered? Second question deals with the chromed posts at the outside/front of the arm rests. What the heck are they for? And my last question deals with the chromed metal plate on the left hand side of the seat cushion, any ideas what it is used for? This chair works great! I'm in the process of cleaning it up and will put it in my master bathroom.

The posts are for decoration, I saw them on a 1940 model but thery're not on my 1937. Possibly they are only on the top end models. The plate on the side ofthe seat is to hold the headrest when not in use. Headrest is in the way for haircuts but needed for shaves. I'm assuming the plate you speak of has a slot in it. My paidar is frozen, any suggestions?
