Your chair would have been imported in 1927 by WD @ HO Wills from America.
I have one as well and it should have a plaque on the back of the chair about the information above. Can send you more information if you require
regards Michael

I very much doubt if it is in 'Original' condition. I have an identical chair which had been always under over and clearly is showing it's age. I am a model mAker and restorer and this chair has almost certainly restored. I don't know for sure but the cast parts would have been either chrome plated or just cast in a high lustre silver finish. The upholstery looks orig. restoration is nice. Phil

I have two Malwa chairs and have fully restored one. I've advertised it in Perth from $2500 down to $1250 with no genuine buyers. I believe ebay, probably Chinese antique knock off's have devalued them at the moment. Does anyone have any information about where they were actually built. We know they were imported in but where from?

Hi, I'm just starting a restoration project on a Malwa Barber's chair. Did you redo shiny parts with chrome or nickel. Would love photos if anyone has some. Thanks Jack
